The Annual Chamber Banquet was held on January 24. Master of Ceremonies, Blake Howard and Mistress of Ceremonies 2018 Grapeland Peanut Queen Carly Parker. Grapeland ISD Superintendent and Chamber board member Don Jackson opened the meeting in prayer. Grapeland student Blake Davis lead the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag. Chamber President, Pat McNeive then welcomed the crowd.
Mr. Kent Willis introduced the keynote speaker, Dr. Paul McGaha, DO from the UT Health Science Center. He spoke about practical suggestions we can apply daily to prolong our lives and promote better health.
Ms. Martha Childress introduced the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Dr. Edward Cutshaw, MD for his many years to service providing healthcare to the Grapeland and surrounding communities.
The Heart Award was presented to Ms. Sharon Naomi Perryman for her dedication and service to the Grapeland Chamber and the community.
Following the drawings for the raffle prizes Reverend Hall lead in singing the National Anthem. The evening was concluded with a benediction by Mr. Josh Wall.
