2018 Chamber Banquet

The theme for the Annual Chamber Banquet this year was Shifting Paradigms – Pathways to Prosperity.  The banquet was held Thursday January 25, 2018 and there was a full house present to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year.

The evening started off with a performance by the choir from somewhere.

 

 

Mr Eric Bell sang an inspirational version of America the Beautiful .

 

 

 

 

 

Mr Don Jackson, the Superintendent of Grapeland Independent School District and a board member of the Chamber was assisted by Ms. Madelyn Conner, 2017 Grapeland Peanut Queen, as they shared the duties of emcees for the evening.

 

 

 

 

Doctor Kent Willis, Assistant Professor from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, was one of the three speakers for the evening.

 

 

 

 

John Grayson, the Sales Manager at Vulcraft was the second speaker for the evening.

 

 

 

 

 

Houston County Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt was the third speaker for the evening.

 

 

 

 

 

Chamber President Pat McNeive addresses the crowd and presented some awards.

 

 

 

 

 

The Grapeland Volunteer Fire Department was recognized by the Chamber as the Volunteer of the Year.  Grapeland Fire Chief Roger Dickey and Tim Howard accepted the award on behalf of the department.

 

 

 

 

Grapeland State Bank was thanked for their support and providing a place for the regular Chamber meetings.

 

 

 

 

 

Sandler’s Kitchen from Jacksonville provided a great meal.
